READ
Colossians 1:13-14
13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
Verses beginning with “for” are usually explaining what preceded. What follows are the reasons believers can be filled with joy and always thanking the heavenly Father. It is because they have been recused from their unsaved life and now live in the kingdom of God’s Son. This was possible because of the death of Jesus on the cross. All who trust in Him as Savior can experience what is written in these verses.
REFLECT
Take time to meditate on all that Jesus has delivered you from because you have trusted in Him as Savior. One of the greatest testimonies is a changed life. May others see this in you.
RESPOND
Read Acts 26:12-19 to see what Paul answered King Agrippa when describing what Jesus told him on the road to Damascus. Notice that God had chosen him to help people turn from darkness to light; from the power of Satan to God.
