READ
Colossians 1:21-22
21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Paul had told of God reconciling everything to Himself. He wanted the believing readers to know this included them. All of this was possible through the death of Christ on the cross. When a person trusts in Jesus as Savior, His righteousness is transferred to the believer. This is why now, as to the believer’s position in Christ, he is holy and blameless.
REFLECT
Think about, with all of your shortcomings and sins in the past, you are now holy and blameless before God because you have trusted in Jesus as Savior. Thank the Lord for that.
RESPOND
With your friend read Hebrews 7:25-27 to see that Jesus was “holy and blameless” and this is why He can save all who come to Him and make them holy and blameless when they trust in Him as Savior.
