READ
Colossians 3:10-11
10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
Having put off the things mentioned in verses 5-9, Paul told believers what to put on. He uses the analogy of changing clothes to make his point. The way the believer learns to know the Creator and become like Him is by reading and following the Bible, which is the only book God has inspired to be written. Regardless of one’s culture, Christ lives in the every believer.
REFLECT
Rejoice that you have many brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world. Jesus lives in each believer no matter the ethnic background.
RESPOND
Talk to your disciple about using the Bible to learn instructions for godly living. Colossians 3 and Ephesians 4 stress what believers should put off and put on. In your individual private times, read these passages and seek to apply them to daily living.
