READ
Colossians 3:14-15
14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Followers of Jesus are to clothe themselves with love. Verse 15 gives counsel on how to decide if you are faced with two options you could take that both honor the Lord but you can take only one. The word “rule” in this verse was used of an umpire in Paul’s day. As you think about honoring the Lord Jesus and pray about it, you can let the peace of Christ call the decision in your life. It may be a peace you cannot explain to others. Note: “always be thankful.”
REFLECT
Rejoice in the peace you cannot explain to others that God gives when you face a decision. Are you always thankful for this?
RESPOND
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 to see God’s will for your life. Also read Philippians 4:6-8 that tells of the peace God provides.
