READ
Colossians 4:1
Masters, be just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master—in heaven.
Paul was showing how believers in Christ reveal their Christianity by their lifestyle. He has written about wives, husbands, children, fathers, slaves, and now masters. He reminded the masters that they would face their Master in heaven. Believing masters would be rewarded for what they had done for Jesus, mentioned in 1 Corinthians 3:12-15; unbelieving masters would face Jesus as their judge at the Great White Throne judgment, referred to in Revelation 20:11-15.
REFLECT
Remember that everyone has a Master in heaven; believers as well as unbelievers. Honor Jesus by the way you live and serve Him, and you will receive rewards in heaven from Him.
RESPOND
To read about the final judgment of all unbelievers, read Revelation 20:11-15. Such future judgment awaits everyone who does not trust in Jesus as Savior in this life. Pray with your friend about those who need to decide for Jesus before it is eternally too late.
