When looking back at the phenomenal growth of the early church, it’s easy to think that the apostles had nothing but smooth sailing as they took the Gospel to the world. That wasn’t the case at all. And in Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth, we see the apostle fighting hard for the church that he planted and loved.
In this verse-by-verse study we’ll study Paul’s often stern words to this church in the midst of conflict. Whether it’s addressing sin within the church, speaking back against the claims of the false teachers, or encouraging the church towards generosity, Paul’s words paint a sobering picture of the challenges faced by the early church. And yet we’ll be reminded that God’s strength is greatest in our weakness. And no matter how hard the struggle, our God will always be stronger.
In this study of 2 Corinthians, we'll cover in detail all 13 chapters of Paul’s letter.
