Blessings Poured Out

Malachi 3:10 

10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” 

The “storehouse” refers to the Temple treasury. It does not refer to a local church, because there were no local churches in that day. But the principle can be carried over: those who give to the Lord out of their love for Him will be blessed by Him. Not necessarily in a material sense as were the Israelites. Some of the greatest blessings are the spiritual riches that come by investing one’s life in others and helping them to grow spiritually.

What are some of the blessings from God in your life? If not material blessings, what about spiritual ones? Do you have eternity’s values in view?
