READ
Malachi 4:2-3
2 “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. 3 On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
This is the only time in the Old Testament that Jesus is referred to as “the Sun of Righteousness.” When God acts on behalf of believers, they will “go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” What a picture of joy this is! Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament but it echoes the book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament. Some have said the theme of Revelation is, “God wins!”
REFLECT
Have you considered that no matter what your difficulties, God helps believers to be victorious in the end?
RESPOND
With a fellow believer, read Matthew 6:25-34. This is a passage that encourages believers to focus on God’s kingdom above all else and realize there is no need to worry about tomorrow. They can be reminded that God is already there.
