SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY
In this episode of Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole and guest Pastor Ricky Kennedy from City Light South discuss the dangers of comfort in faith, the meaning of Luke 9:23, and the challenges of church planting. Hear Ricky’s inspiring story of stepping out in faith, trusting God through uncertainty, and discovering the true adventure of following Jesus.
BACK TO THE BIBLE DAILY
In today’s episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen explores the feeling of being “behind” in life and reminds us of God’s promise in Philippians 1:6. Discover how spiritual growth is anchored in God’s faithfulness, not our performance, and why trusting His timing brings lasting transformation.
ADDITIONAL STEPS:
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
The books of the Bible record God's plan and the stories of His faithfulness. Discover how that opens up opportunities for your life now and in the future!
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
Have you ever looked at an old childhood photo and laughed and asked, "what was I thinking with that hair cut?" As Christians we can expect a similar kind of reaction when we look back to how our lives were before Christ. Jon is here today to share some encouragement from Scripture that will get us scratching our heads wondering why we ever thought lying could get us ahead.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Be honest. Are you dishonest? In the big things, the small things, the everyday things? Coach Lydia Robertson calls out the truth about how dishonesty, even when used to enhance our self-perception, destroys it! Be challenged and encouraged to live in God’s truth today and every day!
Identify a place where dishonesty might be sneaking into your life. Then commit to 1 week of total honesty in that area. Let us or a friend know of your plan.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
Just like a vine can't produce fruit if it is cut off from the rest of the plant, we can't produce fruit when we fail to abide in Jesus. Join Donna as she prays with us that we would grow as we abide in Christ.
