STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
As we continue in Hebrews we'll cover a rich passage of the Bible with two of the most important truths for us to know. The Bible is God's Word and is a powerful resource in our lives. And Jesus, far from being a distant and aloof God, lived as a man and can sympathize with us in all our weaknesses. Praise God with us as we study some more.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
Do you ever wonder how your neighbor can still be using the same cell phone they were using ten years ago? Or how they can still be driving that same old car? Do you feel slightly jealous that they can be content when you are not? Jon is here today to share some wisdom from the Bible to reassure us that we can all learn contentment no matter how discontent we may be.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Scrolling through the highlights of everyone's perfect lives on social media can send you sinking into the pit of discontent! So how do you slow down, stop the chase, and realize the beauty of what matters most? Donna Amidon shares biblical wisdom for being content.
Think about what you own—your house, car, clothes, furniture, or even your position at work —and remind yourself that nothing is going with you. Nothing. Then remember the words of the Apostle Paul: And if we have food and clothing, with these we can be content.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
In the face of unimaginable suffering, Jesus prayed. Arnie leads our prayer time today as we follow Jesus' example and turn to Him in prayer for the strength to face our own difficulties.
