That's the message James brings to us in the opening verses of his book. He'll also remind us that the way we handle our struggles can be a powerful witness to a watching world.
STEP 2 - REFLECT

No matter who you look at, whether popular or unpopular, successful or unsuccessful, we're all in a constant battle with ourselves. But how well you stand against those internal passions is another matter. Tom is here today to share some wisdom from the Bible that will help you reap the benefits of a self-controlled life.
STEP 3 - RESPOND

We all know our weaknesses. What we often don’t know is how to have self-control. Spiritual Fitness Coach Donna Amidon points us to the path of wisdom God lays out to help us experience victory over vice!
Think of one area where you struggle with self-control. Then, make a practical plan to avoid that situation whenever you can. Ask for the Holy Spirit’s help and use WISDOM to walk in the good PLAN God has for you!
STEP 4 - REVEAL
