INTRO: SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY
In this episode of Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole and guest Dr. Dale Michels discuss the impact of constant scrolling on mental and spiritual health. They explore the concept of "brain rot," the science behind digital addiction, and practical steps for breaking free. Featuring insights from Romans 12:2, the conversation offers hope and actionable advice for renewing your mind and finding emotional and spiritual refreshment in a tech-driven world.
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
When it comes to our faith, the Bible is very clear about a lot of things, but frustratingly vague on others. Paul, in his letter to Timothy, warns the young pastor to not get distracted by pointless arguments. Learn how to keep your life focused on what's most important for the Christian life.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
We all have a certain desire to be noticed and recognized--to rise above the crowd. But sometimes that recognition can only by selling out a friend. Is it worth it? Rather than climbing this rickety ladder, Cassie has another suggestion taken straight from the Word of God.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
If you’ve ever been shot down by someone’s criticism, then you know the pain it causes. Today Coach Jonathan helps you take aim at your pride instead of other people’s flaws!
Think about the people you feel most critical toward. Write down three things you are thankful for about each of them. Then pray for them. Thank God for putting them in your life and making them the way they are with the unique gifts that you just wrote down. Ask God to give you a spirit of humility toward them. Finally, the next time you see them, share the affirmation you wrote about them!
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
Jack leads our prayer time today encouraging us to be Jesus to someone who might not normally see Him. Jack prays that we will be able to see those around us through Jesus' eyes, and not our own.
