SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY
What does it really mean to live out Jesus’ command to care for the hungry, the stranger, and the prisoner? In this episode of Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole is joined by Paul Abbott, a lifelong missionary, to discuss Matthew 25:35-40 and the challenge of moving from occasional charity to a lifestyle of compassion for the poor and marginalized.
BACK TO THE BIBLE DAILY
Are you feeling weary from waiting and seeing no change? In this episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen reflects on Psalm 27:13–14, exploring how King David found hope and strength in seasons of waiting. Discover how to believe in God’s goodness, wait with courage, and anchor your hope in the Lord, even when answers seem delayed.
ADDITIONAL STEPS:
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Christianity is built on the miracle of Christ's resurrection. But miracles don't just happen every day. That's why Paul takes time in his letter to the Corinthians to establish the presence of many eyewitnesses to that historic event. After that, Paul concludes his letter reminding us of the need to support the ministries that matter to us.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
There are reasons to be encouraged AND people for you to share that encouragement with! Who will you encourage today?
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
What does it mean to “borrow trouble?” Shannon Lenz explains this concept which is a key to understanding how not to add more worries to your plate. This episode will encourage you to take one trusting step at a time!
Make a list with two columns. On the first column, write “Today’s Troubles.” In the next column, write “Tomorrow’s Troubles.” Write out all of the worries, fears, and problems on your heart and mind today in the appropriate column. Then, pray about today’s troubles and trust that God will get you through. Don’t worry about tomorrow’s troubles just yet. Take it one step at a time and depend on Him every step of the way.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
What can you thank God for today? Join Sean for our daily prayer time as we offer our thanksgiving to God.
