INTRO:Â SPIRITUALLY FITÂ | TODAY
Join Braden Pedersen, spiritual fitness coach at Back to the Bible, as he explores Psalm 42 and practical ways to overcome discouragement. Discover how to honestly acknowledge struggles, seek support, challenge negative thoughts, focus on today, and re-anchor to your God-given purpose.
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Ever find the Bible hard to understand? You're not alone. Here at the end of Peter's second letter he agrees that some of the things the apostle Paul wrote are difficult. But God is patient. Be encouraged knowing that God is on your side and wants as many as possible to be saved.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
"Into every life, a little rain must fall..." That's a very gentle description for what are often life-changing events. Events that leave us wondering, "why me, God?" Laura has asked that question herself. And she's here to share some wisdom she's learned from the Bible about how God can use even the most tragic events in our lives.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Where is God when you’re discouraged? Coach Ricky Kennedy helps you recognize the encouragement of God’s voice in the everyday parts of life!
Today, if you’re discouraged, listen for God’s voice through prayer and Scripture. Remember that God is at work in the small, everyday things of your life.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
They may not seem like much, but small steps and enough time can lead to big changes. So why not start today? Caleb leads our prayer time asking God for chances to take small steps in reaching out for Him.
