Your Daily Spiritual Work Out - May 25

SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY

In this episode of Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole and Bruce discuss the struggle of feeling abandoned by God during desperate prayer. Drawing from Psalm 13, they explore the biblical tradition of lament, personal experiences with unanswered prayers, and how to remain spiritually resilient in times of silence and suffering.

BACK TO THE BIBLE DAILY

In this episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen explores Psalm 42:1–11, addressing the deep ache of feeling far from God. Discover how honest reflection, remembering God’s faithfulness, and speaking truth to your soul can restore hope during spiritual dryness. Let God’s Word center your day, even when He feels distant.

ADDITIONAL STEPS:

STEP 1 - RECEIVE

(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)

By now you should understand that Jesus wasn't just some random guy who had some compelling things to say 2,000 years ago. The life, death, and resurrection and Jesus was part of a grander plan put in place by God and foretold by the prophets. And Jesus Himself understood this. We'll look at some places in Luke's Gospel where Jesus plainly describes His purpose on earth.

STEP 2 - REFLECT

(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)

Today we remember the lives so many brave men and women gave for our freedom. May we never forget the price of that freedom. May this day also remind us of the cost of our salvation, given freely to us through the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

STEP 3 - RESPOND

(How will you Win Today?)

Do you hide your grief? Your loss? What if you opened the door to these emotions and told God exactly how you feel? Jon Winkelman coaches you through what it means to pour out your heart to God and others.

Open the door of grief and pour out your pain to God. He can take it. He will bear it. He will bring comfort.

STEP 4 - REVEAL

(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)

Loss is something we all have to deal with, and it's never easy. Let's pray with Sean today as we ask God for the strength to deal with the losses we may be facing.
