Your Daily Spiritual Work Out - May 26

SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY

In this episode of Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole and Bruce explore how to cope when God feels distant. Drawing from Jeremiah 2:13, they discuss common unhealthy coping mechanisms, the difference between formal and functional faith, and practical steps to recognize and address spiritual struggles during times of silence and suffering.

BACK TO THE BIBLE DAILY

In this episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen explores James 4:6–10, examining what the Bible teaches about pride and humility. Discover how pride subtly shapes our lives and why God opposes it, while humility invites His grace. Braden offers practical questions for self-reflection and encourages listeners to draw near to God, submitting to Him and trusting in His promise to lift up the humble.

ADDITIONAL STEPS:

STEP 1 - RECEIVE

(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)

Among the first four Gospels, John's Gospel stands out above them. Though John skips over any discussion of Jesus' birth, he begins with one of the most beautiful, concise descriptions of Jesus and His ministry. Join us as we are introduced to Jesus, the Word who took on flesh.

STEP 2 - REFLECT

(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)

If you've ever heard a child shout, "no, now!" you know how impatient kids can be. Thankfully, we all mature past this stage and learn that often patience is rewarded. Jon is here today with some encouraging words from the Bible that will help us take the patient, "long view" when it comes to finding contentment in life.

STEP 3 - RESPOND

(How will you Win Today?)

When “if only” takes over your thoughts, it’s time to remember God’s goodness in Christ! Lydia Robertson calls on us to find contentment by identifying what we have because of Jesus.

Share with someone around you - a friend, family member, co-worker, or even a stranger - about the continual goodness of God in your life.

STEP 4 - REVEAL

(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)

We've learned about God's Word and reflected on it's meaning. We've spent time in prayer and considered how to apply the truth we've learned. Now it's time to put it all together and shine our light in our neighborhoods and families. Join Caleb as he prays for opportunities to share God's love.
