BACK TO THE BIBLEÂ DAILY
In this episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen explores Mark 2:1–12, where a paralyzed man is lowered through a roof by his friends to reach Jesus. Discover how Jesus addresses both physical and spiritual needs, the power of persistent faith, and the deeper gift of forgiveness that only He can give.
ADDITIONAL STEPS:
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Even if you don't memorize much Scripture, there's a good chance you have John 11:35 memorized: "Jesus wept." Today we'll look at John 11 and death of Lazarus that brought Jesus to tears. And in the miracle that follows, Jesus not only gives us a glimpse of the future, but a sobering look at the hardness hiding in the hearts of some.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
"Everyone's a critic!" You ever hear that before? These days with all our social media, that phrase is more accurate than ever. If you've been hurt by the criticism of others, or slung a few pointed comments yourself, be sure to take a minute to join Cameron today as he shares some advice from Scripture to help you escape the sport of criticism.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Sometimes we confuse criticizing others with being truthful. And the line between the two can get pretty grey. So what are we to do? Caleb helps us understand.
Think of a person in your life you recently criticized. Confess that to the Lord and to that person. It will probably feel uncomfortable, but what an opportunity to share what Jesus has done in your life. It might even lead to an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus for their life!
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
Every day, our choices in life move us closer to God, or further away. And while some days making the right choices seem hopeless, there is a way. Arnie is here today to pray with us, and to encourage us to stay in the Bible on a daily basis.
