STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Jesus promised His disciples that even after He returned to heaven, they would not be alone. Jesus would sent the Helper, the Holy Spirit to guide and teach believers in this new age. And in Acts chapter 2 we see the dramatic entrance of the Holy Spirit. And we'll consider what this amazing gift means for us today.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
We don't often think of the heroes of the Bible, like David, being lonely. But they were people just like us. So how did someone like David cope with loneliness? Gary is here today to share some encouraging words from the Psalms to cling to the next time life tries to isolate you from others.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Coach Lydia Robertson shares connection points to help you and others walk through one of the toughest human experiences, one that Jesus knew all too well – loneliness.
Offer a gesture of connection. Reach out to someone to say, “Hey, I’m thinking of you today and hope you are doing well.” Schedule to have coffee with a friend. Call a family member, even if just for a brief conversation. No matter if it is a friend, family member, or stranger, you can have an impact today by making someone feel seen, known, and loved.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
The holidays are never an easy time to be alone. Mark leads our prayer today praising God for His presence in our lives. And we pray for comfort for those who might be lonely in our lives.
