STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Though preaching the Gospel often got him in trouble, this gave Paul the opportunity to preach to many of the powerful people in that age. In this message we'll listen in as Paul shares his story with kings and governors. And we'll consider the opportunity we all have to choose to follow Jesus.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
We're all familiar with the kind of anger that explodes in a sudden outburst. But there's a type of anger that can sit and simmer in the darkness slowly poisoning our lives. Karmin is here today to talk about that kind of anger, and to share some wisdom she learned from the Bible about dealing with it.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
The warning to control your temper is straightforward but not simple. Coach Nat Crawford explains that anger is not just an involuntary response but an emotion – one that you can manage with God’s help!
1) When anger flares, take a moment to breathe and pray. 2) Reflect on the source of your anger so you can address it more constructively. 3) Practice forgiveness, remembering that this is a process and a choice, not necessarily a one-time act. 4) Cultivate patience and understanding because empathy for others diffuses anger and leads to more peaceful interactions.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
Jason leads us in prayer today asking for God's grace when our anger starts to rise.
