STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
Even though Mark was not one of the disciples, his Gospel is an important part of the record we have of Jesus. And even though it is the shortest of the four, it stands as a powerful reminder of the divinity and grace of Jesus Christ. We'll take a quick overview of this fast-paced account of Jesus' life and be reminded of His call to all of us to be "fishers of men."
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
Jealousy has been described as a monster, and for good reason. When it catches us, it consumes us and transforms us into a monster ourselves. Is there no where to go to find safety? Sherri is here today and has some wisdom from the Bible to share that will help us find a safe haven from the jealousy monster.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Hello jealousy. Goodbye contentment, peace, and joy. What else does jealousy lock out of your heart? Today Mark Geist helps you focus upward and outward to kick jealousy out of your life and unlock your heart to God’s blessings!
To combat jealousy, start with honest self-reflection and confession to God. Then, think about and celebrate God’s blessings in your life. Lastly, ask Him to help you celebrate the successes and blessings of those around you to foster a sense of community rather than jealousy.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
You know all about the comfort and peace that can come from sharing our prayer requests with God and with others. Maybe someone you know doesn't have that relationship with God that they can turn to. Mark prays for us today asking God for opportunities to share His heart with others.
