PREMIERE: SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY
Join Arnie Cole, spiritual fitness researcher and coach, and his wife Char Cole as they explore how engaging the Bible and prayer can strengthen your soul for eternity. In this premiere episode of Spiritually Fit Today podcast, discover the parallels between physical and spiritual training, the importance of consistency, accountability, and having a plan, and how even small spiritual "reps" can have lasting impact. This week’s scripture to memorize is 1 Timothy 4:8: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” Take on the soul pump assignment, be encouraged, and share your thoughts on how your physical training inspires your spiritual growth!
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
We are all called to bring others to Christ, but we each have different roles at different times. Today's message encourages you to follow God's leading today to plant, water, or harvest!
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
How does the role of ambassador sound to you? Most of us want nothing to do with being a diplomat, yet, as Christians, that's what the Bible calls us. Karmin is here today to unpack that verse and to encourage us to live wisely and boldly for our heavenly Father.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Are you honest with yourself? With God? With others? Today Mark Geist shares a personal story of how Scripture helped him break free from the lies that controlled how he lived.
Today’s honesty challenge: 1) Be honest with yourself. Is there some part of your life that you have been lying to others about to the point that even you believe it? 2) Be honest with God. Ask for His forgiveness and guidance to free yourself from the snare of deceit. 3) Be honest with other people. It might hurt, but that pain will allow you to live in truth!
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
As recipients of God's grace, we experience the love and grace of God in ways that others don't. Mark leads our prayer time today asking for chances to reflect the love of God in our interactions with our friends and family.
