Your Daily Spiritual Work Out - September 14
BACK TO THE BIBLE DAILY
Ever felt overlooked or unappreciated? In this episode of Back to the Bible Daily, Braden Pedersen explores how God sees and values what others may miss. Drawing from 1 Samuel, Hebrews, and the Gospel of Luke, discover encouragement and biblical truth for seasons when your efforts go unnoticed.
SPIRITUALLY FIT | TODAY
What does faith look like in the midst of chronic illness? On Spiritually Fit Today, Arnie Cole talks with Marci Julin about her 20-year journey through pain, depression, and unanswered prayers. Marci shares her struggles, the reality of living as an invalid, and how God’s love and the support of the church carried her through the darkest seasons.
ADDITIONAL STEPS:
STEP 1 - RECEIVE
(Receive God's Word and Grow in Bible Knowledge)
It can be disheartening to invest a lot of time and effort into helping someone else grow and not see any immediate results. But the author of Hebrews tells us to stay strong! The Christian life is lived by faith, but not a faith of vague hopes and wishes. It's a faith founded on the sure promises of God.
STEP 2 - REFLECT
(How does this Scripture Apply to your life?)
We all like to be recognized for a job well done. But have the pats on your back been coming more from yourself than from others lately? Gary is here today to share a cautionary tale from the Bible that will help put our pride back in perspective.
STEP 3 - RESPOND
(How will you Win Today?)
Coach Shannon helps us see the importance of humility in our walk with God as she digs into the fascinating story of Nebuchadnezzar. Learn what it means to be humble OR be humbled!
Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return. Yes, you are valuable because you are made in the image of God! But, you are also merely a humble human and everything that you have been given is from the hand of the Almighty God. So, spend some time in prayer today. Confess your pride to God and ask Him to help you walk in humility because it’s either be humble or be humbled.
STEP 4 - REVEAL
(How will you reveal Jesus to others today through praying and sharing?)
Asa leads our daily prayer today with a prayer for God to help us keep our thoughts focused on Him and not the destructive influences in our lives.
